𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗲 – Episode 1 – Les mots qui blessent

Since her mother returned to Cambodia two years ago, Emilie, 25, and her father, 68, have been living together in their home in Asnières-sur-Seine. As winter settles in, her father reflects on the warm welcome he received upon arriving in France in the 1970s and contrasts it with the rise of anti-Asian racism today. Meanwhile, Emilie, busy with her art studies and preparing her birthday cake, recalls the cultural gap she felt from early childhood.
